Sun Plaza Hosts the 7th Edition of the Sun Challenge — Running for Nature

On Sunday, October 5, Sun Plaza held the 7th edition of the Sun Challenge, an eco-friendly sporting event that turns running into an act of responsibility toward nature.

This year’s race took place in Văcărești Nature Park, with the goal of protecting the habitat of six amphibian species that play a vital role in the park’s delicate ecosystem.

Through the 2025 edition of the Sun Challenge, the initiative aims to build specially designed shelters for these species, protect their aquatic habitats, and develop environmental education programs that help the public better understand the importance and value of these creatures.

As every year, participants competed in three age categories: 18–29, 30–39, and 40+.
The top three winners in each category received prizes — a total of 54 awards in vouchers, products, and services.
