Comunidar Project Launches at CPI Romania Office Buildings — Promoting Reuse and Sustainable Living

A new sustainability initiative has arrived at CPI Romania office buildings: Comunidar, a project that encourages employees to embrace reuse and reduce waste through community sharing.

The project is already live at myhive S-Park (open until September 26) and will soon reach other myhive locations. Through Comunidar, employees are invited to bring items in good condition—such as clothing, books, toys, decorations, or small electronic devices—and freely take others home, without the need for an exchange.

Unlike traditional Recycling Hubs, which focus on processing waste, Comunidar highlights the importance of reuse as a way to prevent overconsumption and give objects a second life. The initiative draws inspiration from the Romanian rural custom of the “merindar”—a gesture of generosity where food or water was left out for travelers—and adapts this spirit of sharing to an urban environment.

Comunidar was developed by architect and interior designer Alina Vîlcu, in partnership with Asociatia ENVIRON, as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
